Healthcare

It passed.  It’s signed.  It’s the law of the land.

Heck yes it did.

Yes we can.

Sunday Roundup

Sunday roundup time. Here are a few links that caught my interest this week:

Women at Arms – a fascinating New York Times piece on women on the front lines. Apparently, women are already fighting in combat, but the Army has to find technicalities to allow them to do so. Oddly, not only am I not surprised, I don’t think many other Americans are either. I suppose it’s a good thing that this doesn’t make as many headlines anymore…?

Healthcare Debate, Explained – fivethirtyeight.com did a fun little piece explaining the common misconceptions about the health care debate. Turns out Canada and England are two different countries with two different systems. Who knew?

Healthcare Irony – Speaking of the healthcare debate, there was a bit of irony this past week concerning the yelling masses…Oh, Irony: Is there no situation you can’t make hilarious?

Terraforming Mars – Wikipedia has an almost frighteningly long article on terraforming mars. I am both confused and intrigued.

Big Brother has a name, and it is Facebook – Apparently Facebook bought Friendfeed. This is apparently akin to taking over the world, or something.

Alright, that’s it for now. Enjoy you Sunday internet-ness
